Kathy Vance

Canton – Kathy Janice McMahan Vance, 64, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals.

Kathy was a native of Arizona but had lived most of her life in Haywood County.  She was a daughter of the late Frank McMahan.  Kathy worked for many years at several different nursing homes before starting a private service of caring for others in their private homes.

She is survived by a daughter, Marsha Vance (Cecil Patton, Jr.) of Canton; three grandchildren, Martika, Angela, and Timothy Stacy, Jr.; and three great-grandchildren, Harlan Roe-El Liam McClure, Huxton Carew Oakliin McClure, and Julia Rayne Stansell.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Dr. T. David Phillips officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
