Crabtree Community, Lucy James Noland, age 86, passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Silver Bluff Village.
A native of Haywood County, she was born on March 31, 1932, the daughter of the late Bud and Myrgle Parker James. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Gaston Noland who died in 2005; infant sister, Roxie Ann James. Lucy retired from Dayco Corporation and was a life-long member of Crabtree Baptist Church.
Lucy is survived by three daughters, Patricia Gail Noland, Kathy Davis, and her husband, Greg, and Rita Noland; grandchildren, Kelsey Maria Jaynes, Caleb Matthew Jaynes; brother, Ray James, and his wife, Betty, all of the Crabtree Community; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 12, 2018 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Charles Dean officiating. Burial will follow in the Crabtree Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank the staff of Silver Bluff Village for the loving care of their mother.
