Susan Barron

Waynesville, Susan Diane Sellers Barron, age 73, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at Autumn Care Nursing Home.

A native of South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Lois Buckles Sellers.  She was a member of Grandview Baptist Church and retired from the Haywood County School System as a Teacher Assistant for Special Education with 30 years of service.  Susan enjoyed shopping, camping and her church.

Susan is survived by her husband of 54 years, Max Barron, Sr.; a son, David Barron of Waynesville; two sisters, Beth Justice of Clyde and Kim Mitchell (Mike) of Greenville, South Carolina; one brother, Jeff Sellers (Cindy) of Clyde; two grandchildren, Cade and Riley Barron; and a great-granddaughter, Charlotte Mae Barron.

Due to the health issue of COVID-19, a private service will be held with Reverend Barry Willett officiating.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grandview Baptist Church, Renovation Fund, 1562 Allens Creek Road, Waynesville, NC  28786.

The care of Mrs. Barron has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Homes.
