Thomas E. “Bubba” Justice, Jr.
Waynesville, Thomas Edgar Justice, Jr., 85, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Smoky Mountain Health and Rehabilitation.
A native of Madison County, he was the son of Thomas Edgar and Thelma Lindsey Justice. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Ledford Justice, who passed away in 2012; daughter, Debbie Yarborough; sister, Catherine Justice Ledford; infant brother, Franklin Justice; and a brother-in-law, Foye Ledford. Bubba was a veteran of the United States Army and former employee at the Enka Plant. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed camping at Rocky Bluff and fishing the mountain streams.
Bubba is survived by one son, Michael Justice, of Waynesville; two sisters, Polly Justice Ledford and her husband, RL, of Hot Springs and Linda Justice Rathbone, and her husband, Henry, of Clyde; one brother, Joe Justice, and his wife, Virginia, of Hot Springs; four grand-daughters, Brooke Stone, Holly Justice, Ashley Tisdale, and Christy Gregory; and six great-grand sons.
The family would like to thank Bubba’s great niece, Anne Rathbone and the staff at Smoky Mountain Healthcare for their excellent care over the years.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2020 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Jimmy Moore and Reverend Billy Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow at Woody cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
