Addie Burgess

Waynesville, Addie "Sally" Burgess, age 73, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at her residence. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Hampton and Lizzie Rathbone Burgess. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters; six brothers; and two nephews. Sally enjoyed music and loved taking care of others. She was a member of Hemphill Baptist Church. She is survived by her nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was also survived by her beloved cat, Cuddles. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 1, 2012 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Dale Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Sugar Cove Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Bud Conard, Jeremiah Parton, Larry and Cody Burgess; and Buster McElory. Honorary pallbearers will be Buster Burgess and Robert Parton. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
