Adeline Ellis

"Loving Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Sister-in-law & Friend"

Waynesville, Adeline Mary Macho Ellis, age 87, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Maria Bielesch Macho. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Ellis who died in 2004; and a brother, Leo Macho. She met her husband, Jack, in Philadelphia and then lived in Camden, New Jersey. The couple retired in North Carolina where they lived quite happily. Adeline was a homemaker, was an excellent seamstress and loved crafting of all sorts. She was a keen gardener who had a love of nature and enjoyed walking. An independent lady who lived her life exactly as she wanted. Adeline was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and loved her faith and enjoyed being part of the church community. A salesgirl in ladies clothing she had a sense of style. She loved her family and friends and they were the most important part of her life.

Adeline is survived by her daughter, Susanne McGreevy, and her husband, Andrew, of Glasgow, Scotland; son, Johnny Ellis, of New Jersey; three grandchildren, Rae, Alice and Cal McGreevy; and her good friends, Donna Surles, Sandy Council, Fran and Vivian.

Honoring Adeline's wishes no services are planned.
