Agnes Bergstrom

Agnes M. Bergstrom, formally of Candler, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2009 in Asheboro, NC. She was a daughter of the late Michael and Josephine Holtmeir Dietrich. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Gustav A. Bergstrom in 1988.

Mrs. Bergstrom lived in the Candler area for 18 years and attended both the Basilica of St. Lawrence and St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.

Survivors include her two daughters, Marilyn Lamberty and husband Werner of Phoenix, AZ and Janet Reek and husband Thomas of Asheboro, NC, son, Gustav Bergstrom and wife Lori of Long Island, NY, sister, Margaret Wiemer of Tellico Plains, TN, grandchildren, Thomas, Todd, Jessica R. Merideth and Erika R. Mainwaring, Kristin and Brandon Bergstrom and 5 great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be held 2PM on Tuesday at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church with Father Frank Seabo officiating. Burial will follow and Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, WNC Chapter, 3800 Shamrock Dr. Charlotte, NC 28215.
