Agnes Medford

Waynesville, Agnes Paula McClure Medford, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Frank Porter and Nellie Elizabeth Withers McClure. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Herbert E. Huebner, who died in 1998, and two sisters, Barbara Wright and Arbutus James. For nine years, Agnes was co-owner of Carriage Hill's Realty and helped to grow the business with her strong business background. Upon retirement, she met and married her best friend and love, Wick Medford. She returned to Haywood County with her husband, Wick, where they planned to live out the rest of their lives. Agnes is survived by her husband of 15 years, Wick Medford; sons, Greg Huebner and his wife, Marjorie, of Niceville, Florida and Dan Medford and his wife, Mary Jo, of Canton; two grandsons, Bradley Huebner and his wife, Rebecca, of San Francisco, California and Daniel Medford of Canton, North Carolina; and three nephews, Ernie James and his wife, Dana, Rodney James and his wife, Sandra, and Rip Wright. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 3, 2015 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Patrick Womack officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery in Valparaiso, Florida.
