Aileen Brown

August 2, 1918 — November 16, 2009

Aileen Williams Brown, 91, of Candler, went to Heaven on Monday, November 16, 2009 at Aston Park Health Care Center. She was the daughter of the late Abraham and Ina Morrison Williams. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Alonzo Brown, son Sam Brown, and son-in-law, Jim Ray.

As a God fearing Pentecostal, Aileen lived her life for Christ. Through her love for Jesus, she cherished her children and grandchildren each and every day. Aileen treasured cooking, celebrating the holidays and filling her house with family, friends, laughter and love. She could frequently be heard sharing with others that 'I have no ugly children or grandchildren' and 'I have no favorites.'

Surviving are a sister, Catherine Baldwin of Arden; her sons; Richard Brown and wife Barbara of TN, John Brown and wife Cindy of FL, daughters; Wilma and husband Billy Taylor, Ina Ray, Sandra and husband Dennis Penley, Wanda and husband Mike Tate all of Candler, 18 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Faith at Forest Lawn with the Rev. Billy Taylor and Rev. Lonnie Ray officiating. The family will receive friends in the chapel an hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to Aston Park Health Care Center's Employee Christmas Fund: 380 Brevard Rd. Asheville, NC 28806 as we want to show our appreciation to the employees for their care given to Aileen.
