Alan Padgett

CANTON, Alan Franklin Padgett, age 31, of 55 Rose Hill Lane, Canton, died Saturday, February 2, 2008, at his home after a courageous battle of cancer. A native of Martin County, Florida, and a 1994 graduate of Pisgah High School. He was the son of Terri Carroll Padgett and the late Wayne Franklin Padgett, who died in 2000. In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Tracy Davis Padgett; one daughter, Kaylie Aisland Padgett, and one son, Tyler Padgett, both of the home; his grandparents, Kay and Leonard Mauney; aunts, Alisa Carroll and Suzanne Padgett; uncles, Scott Carroll and Bobby Padgett; and cousins, Wendy Padgett and Aleisha Vermillion. He was a member of Rocky Face Baptist Church and a welder in the construction industry. Memorial services will be held 12:00 noon Saturday, February 9, 2008, at Rocky Face Baptist Church with Reverend Donnie Henson officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rocky Face Baptist Church, 1635 Worley Cove Road, Canton, NC 28716.
