Alan Wyatt

Waynesville-Alan Kim Wyatt, age 53, died Sunday, November 11, 2007 at his residence after a long illness. He was a native of Haywood County and was the son of the late Cornelius A. "Neil" Wyatt. Kim graduated from Tuscola High School in 1972 and attended Western Carolina University. He was a mechanical craftsman with Dayco before joining the United States Air Force in 1979. He lived in Georgia and Ohio and retired from Murray Air in Ypsilanti, MI as an aircraft inspector. Kim also enjoyed building and was a gifted craftsman. He is survived by his mother, Frances Saunders Wyatt of Hazelwood; his wife of 34 years, Terry Pressley Wyatt; two sons, Jacob Alan Wyatt and his wife, Tammy of Atlanta, GA and Lucas Lee Wyatt and his fiancé, Renee Connolly of Waynesville; a sister, Karen W. Grogan and her husband, Eugene of Canton; two brothers, Charles Gregory Wyatt and his wife, Debi of Toledo, OH and Steven Arnold Wyatt and his wife, Rhonda of Waynesville and two grandchildren, Destiny Connolly and Lucas Alan Wyatt and one expected. Funeral services will be held in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 with Reverend Don Letzring and Reverend Michael Howell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be his two sons, two brothers and nephew. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Haywood Regional Medical Center Hospice, 560 Leroy George Drive, Clyde, NC 28721.
