Albert Harvey

Marion Albert Harvey, age 92, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at Autumn Care of Waynesville. A native of Knoxville, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Walker and Estella Renfro Harvey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Myrtle Carter Harvey; two brothers, Merle and Lillard Harvey; a sister, Althea Harvey; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Harvey. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during World War II and employed by Champion International as the Benefits Manager. He was also a former employee of Wells Funeral Homes, Inc. Al was a member of Canton First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Anna O. Harvey; three sons, Kenneth Harvey of Canton, Bruce, Harvey of Clyde, and Hugh Harvey of Burnsville; a step daughter, Brenda Earley and her husband, Kenneth of Canton; a grandson, Erick Sane and his wife, Jamie; two great granddaughters, Julianna Sane and Bonnie Harvey; and two great grandsons, Jonathan Goode and Wesley Harvey. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend James A. Meadows officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Flowers are accepted and appreciated and memorials may be made to one's favorite charity.
