Albert Kuykendall

Candler-Albert Martin Kuykendall, age 71, died Friday, May 7, 2004 at Park Ridge Hospital. He was the son of the late Mingus and Lucy Kuykendall. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruby Smith Kuykendall who died in 1998. Mr. Kuykendall served in the United States Army in the Korean conflict. He is survived by three daughters, Joyce Searcy and her husband Charles of Candler, Betty Elliott and her husband John of Canton and Mary Kuykendall of Hendersonville, one son, Billy Joe Kuykendall of Candler and one grandson, Jeffery Adam Searcy. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 10, 2004 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes & Cremations Services. The Reverend James Burress and Reverend Paul C. Mullinax will officiate. Burial will follow at Pisgah View Memorial Park in Candler. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 9th at the funeral home. The family requests that memorials be made to the American Diabetic Association, 1820 E. 7th Street, Charlotte, NC 28204.
