Alice Burch

Alice Neal Medford Burch, 88, of Clyde died on Sunday, August 28, 2022, at her residence.  A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Roy Ratcliffe Medford and Katie Lou Stephens Medford. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Gerald Cowan Medford.

Alice Neal was a graduate of National Business College of Knoxville, TN and worked as an account manager for thirty years at Carolina Power and Light (CP&L) in Hazelwood.   She was a life-long member and deacon of the First Baptist Church of Clyde.  For over sixty years, she was the organist and considered it an honor to donate that time.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 70 years, Linden Reeves Burch of Clyde; daughter, Candy Burch Wilson and her husband, Dick of Shelby, NC

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at First Baptist Church of Clyde with Reverend Charles Dean officiating.  Interment will follow at Crawford Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 1207 W. Dixon Boulevard, Shelby, NC  28152.

The care of Mrs. Burch has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Homes of Canton
