Allan White

November 17, 1941 — March 4, 2006

Tampa, FL-Our beloved Allan " Butch," age 64, died suddenly March 4, 2006 while skiing in Maggie Valley, N. C. Allan was a lifelong resident of Tampa, a devoted husband to his wife of 45 years, Shirley, brother, Bob, sister-in-law, Patsy, brother-in-law, Clayton Parker, nephew Rob Parker, nieces, Evelyn Bass, Blair Cowherd, Camille Goodwyne and their spouses and children. Allan loved his friends and would reach out to touch them if he had not heard from them recently; especially his cherished friends Bert Adams and Bill Royal, whom Allan considered his other brothers. His passion was flying, and he was an excellent pilot. He flew for Rozier Machinery for many years. Allan then became Chief Pilot, Check Airman and Captain for several airlines. After retiring from the airlines, he worked as an aviation safety inspector for the Federal Aviation Administration. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 10, 2006 at Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church, 3501 San Jose, Tampa, FL with Reverend John T. DeBevoise officiating. Thanks to all friends and family, and a special thank you to Bert and Bill as well as Doug Austin and Teresa Berkulis for their support and help during this very difficult time. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 21475, St. Petersburg, FL 33742; however, flowers are acceptable and appreciated.
