Allen Angel, Jr.

Allen A. Angel, Jr. age 82, died Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. He was born in Madison County to the late Allen A., Sr. and Eldora Ramey Angel. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II and a member of Canton Central United Methodist Church. Allen was the owner of Haywood Monument Company and Bon-A-Venture Cemeteries and he enjoyed playing golf, pinnockle and watching the Kentucky and Duke basketball games. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lura Cole Angel; a daughter, Debbi Angel of Canton; and a son, Allen A. Angel III and his wife, Jeanne Thieme, of Madison, WI. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2009 at Canton Central United Methodist Church with Reverend David Christy officiating.
