Allison Taylor

Waynesville, Allison Lynn Brown Taylor, age 43, passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at her residence. A native of Haywood County, Allison was a 1986 graduate of Tuscola High School. She attended Bauder Fashion College in Atlanta, Georgia and received an accounting degree at Winthrop University. She was employed with Blue Ridge Glass as a receptionist and secretary. Allison loved the outdoors, water skiing, going to Lake Summit and visiting her family property on Hurricane Creek. She is survived by her husband of 12 years, Joseph Euel "Joel" Taylor III; her mother and stepfather, Nan Goforth and her husband, Tom, of Clover, South Carolina; her father and stepmother, A.J. Brown and his wife, Betty, of Waynesville, a brother, Jeremy Brown of Candler; two sisters, Jasmine and Lisa Goforth; and maternal grandparents, James and Elba Rudder, all of Clover, South Carolina; paternal grandmother, Wilena Brown Phillips of Waynesville; niece and nephew, Madisyn and Hunter Brown; mother and father- in-law, Joe and Carolyn Taylor of Waynesville; and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June17, 2012 in the Sanctuary of First Baptist Church of Waynesville with Reverend Dr. Robert Prince, Reverend Dr. Dick Maples and Reverend Dr. Jack C. Bishop officiating. Burial will follow at the Brown Family Cemetery on Hurricane Creek in Haywood County. Memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Clinic of Waynesville, 34 Sims Circle, Waynesville, NC 28786 or one's favorite charity.
