Alma Creasman

November 14, 1918 — February 1, 2005

Waynesville-Alma Robinson Creasman, age 86, formerly of Balsam, died Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at the Brian Center. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Jerry Ratcliff and Bessie Rhinehart Robinson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Creasman, who died in 1998; a daughter, Sue Carolyn Summey; three sisters, Nancy Cockrell, Helen Wagoner, Ruth Smathers; four brothers, Ralph, Ratcliff, Boone, and Claude Robinson. She was a machine operator who retired from Dayco. She was a member of Fincher's Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Abraham Kuykendall Chapter of NSDAR and enjoyed stamp collecting, bird watching, and working puzzles. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Pace, and her husband, Vinson, of Canton; a son, Ronald L. Creasman and his wife, Nell, of Tuckasegee; eight grandchildren; and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2005 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Reverend Katherine K. Crane officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens with grandsons serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Fincher's Chapel United Methodist Church, 2724 Hyder Mountain Road, Clyde, NC 28721.
