Ambrose Bond, Jr.

Waynesville-Ambrose Theodore ''Ted'' Bond, Jr., age 75, of Scenic Circle, died Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at Mission St. Joseph Health Care.

A native of Monroe, Louisiana, he had resided in Haywood County since 1978. He was the son of the late Ambrose Theodore Bond, Sr. and Thelma Clark Bond. He was a graduate of Louisiana University at Monroe and was former owner and operator of Bond Bakery Company in Monroe, LA. He served in the Army National Guard and attended Hazelwood Presbyterian Church. He was a member of Waynesville Rotary Club and Hazelwood Boosters.

He is survived by his caregivers George W. and Peggy Hullender and Lucille Green, all of Waynesville and several cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 16, 2004 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Homes and Cremation Services with Reverend Larry Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 15. Serving as pallbearers will be Kenneth and Danny Lee Green, Carroll Postell, Stanley and Kevin Gibson, Charlie Goodson, and Darin Hullender.
