Ancel Cagle, Jr.

Waynesville, Ancel Cagle, Jr., age 56, of Forest Hill Road, passed away at his home in the early morning hours of March 4, 2014. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of Nellie Mae Donaldson Cagle and the late Ancel Cagle, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his aunt, Georgia Gibson. Ancel was a former employee of Wal-Mart and Pearson Roofing and was an avid hunter and fisherman. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 15 years, Brenda Stephens Cagle; a daughter, Sherry Cagle, of Cherokee; two sisters, Darlene Fisher and husband, Dwight, of Sylva and Nelda Sorrells and companion, Greg, of Hickory; his mother-in-law, Edna Miller, of Candler; sister-in-law, Jennifer Burleson and husband, Tracy, of Candler; brother-in-law, Robert Stephens and wife, Shelby, of Waynesville; four grandchildren; and special nieces and nephew, Misty, Martie, and Josh. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, March 8, 2014 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Gary Putnam officiating. Burial will be at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 12:00 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home and at other times, the family will be at the residence of LaRue Green, 217 Cedar Park Drive, Clyde. We are not saying "good-bye" as we will meet you in Heaven. We all love you dearly.
