Andrew Kuykendall

Andrew "Skip" Lee Kuykendall, age 20, of Viewmont Drive died Thursday, October 18, 2007, at his residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and the son of Jim "Moose"and Theresa McLean Kuykendall. He was preceded in death by a very special "mamaw", Lela S. Kuykendall and a special grandpa, Max Miller. Andrew graduated from Pisgah High School in 2005 and he went on to continue his education at the Motorcycle Mechanic Institute in Orlando, FL. He returned to Canton to work with his parents at their family-owned business, Trackside Racers Supply, Inc. in Canton, NC. Andrew loved playing basketball, soccer, and video games. His greatest joy was riding his motorcycle with his dad on an occasional Saturday away from the racetrack. "Andrew, you were truly loved by all and will be missed beyond words. Andrew, you are our everything, Love, Mom and Dad." In addition to his parents, he is survived by a most wonderful, grandma, Frances Miller of Canton; granddaddy and nana, Bruce and Ruth McLean of Saluda; papaw, Delmer Kuykendall of Canton; great-grandmother, Alice Grant of Dublin, Ga.; Uncle Matthew McLean and his wife, Julie, of Candler; his cousins, Angel, Jeff, Tyler, and his awesome cousin, Whitney McLean, of Leicester; Uncle David McLean and wife, Suzy, of Blacksburg, SC; and his cousin, Russell; Uncle Brian McLean and his wife, Dana, of Crimora, VA, and his cousin, Anna; his wonderful aunt, "Arie" Karen Penland and husband, Vernon, and cousins, Leah and Haley; Uncle Brad Kuykendall of Canton; uncles, Larry and Gary Staton of Saluda; and Andrew's special love, Krista Jones, and his best buddy and beloved dog, "Boss". Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home & Cremation Services. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
