Anita Bryson

Waynesville, Anita Lynne Bryson, age 61, also of Bellingham, Washington passed away on Monday, July 30, 2012 at MedWest Haywood. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of Sara Oberia Wyatt Bryson and the late Leonard Bryson. She was a graduate of Eastern New Mexico State University and Seattle University and a teacher in the state of Washington. Lynne loved all animals and volunteered for rescue groups in North Carolina and Washington. She was an avid reader and advocate for children's literacy programs. In addition to her mother, she is survived by one daughter, Natasha Knox, of Bellingham, Washington; one sister, Joy Lockman and her husband, Tom, of Young Harris, Georgia; three grandchildren; a niece, Angela McMahan and her family of Duluth, Georgia; and many caring aunts, uncles, and cousins in Western North Carolina. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2012 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home.
