Anita Worley-Green

"1946 – 2013" Candler – Nina Anita Worley-Green, age 66, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2013 at John F. Keever Solace Center. A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of Jim Worley and the late Maryland Scott Worley. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jane McGaha. In 2012, Anita retired from the Black Mountain Center with twenty years of service and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She was very active with the Buncombe County Special Olympics and a coordinator for the Alzheimer's Memory Walk. In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Walter C. Green; three daughters, Kathryn Jones and Jennifer Jones Boone (Steven), both of Weaverville, and Nina Jones Edmonds (Jason), of Barnardsville; two sons, Mark Alan Jones of Burnsville, and Nathan Lee Jones (Carolina), of Destin, Florida; two sisters, Darlene Surrett and Edna Lee Willis, both of Canton; two brothers, Joe Carroll Worley and Jennings Worley, both of Canton; and six grandchildren, Trent, Autumn, and Brooke Sutton, Casey and Cierra Boone, and Kailey Edmonds. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Trinity Baptist Church in Asheville with the Reverend Dr. Ralph Sexton, Reverend Lenny Rogers, Reverend Dr. Bob Doom, and Reverend Danny Hardin officiating. Burial will follow at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery on Newfound Road. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service.
