"In Loving Memory" Clyde – Anna Jean Burnette Chambers, age 85, passed away quietly after a long battle with vascular dementia on April 21, 2017 at the home of her daughter, Sharon Hinshaw in Fairview, North Carolina. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. Chambers of 58 years; and two brothers, Edwin and Charles "Chili" Burnette. Anna Jean worked at Tuscola High School where she was manager of the cafeteria for over 25 years. During her time at the school, she made some wonderful friends with the staff and students. Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Sharon Chambers Hinshaw (Steve) and Elizabeth "Liz" Chambers Wells (Tom); one son, Harold Edward "Eddie" Chambers (Heidi); a sister-in-law, Edie Burnette; well-loved grandchildren, Brandon Faulkner, Jeremy Hinshaw (Nikki), Lauren Wells Kitch (Alec), Cameron Wells, and Caleb and Colby Chambers; step-grandchildren, Danielle and Tyler Prendergast; great-grandchildren, Gavin Faulkner, Hazel and Amelia Hinshaw, Faris Faulkner, and Mariah Gibby; special nieces, Carolyn, Margaret Ann, and Allison; and several cousins and other long-time friends. The family would like to recognize very "special" friends Leroy and Lila Jo Murray who have been friends "sisters" for over 75 years and Pastor James Hart. The family also wishes to express their sincere thanks to CarePartners Hospice and the staff at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. A celebration of Anna Jean's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Clyde Central United Methodist Church with the Reverend Dan Gaddy and Reverend James Hart officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. Memorials may be made to CarePartners Hospice Memorial Fund, P.O.
