Waynesville- Anne Farmer Fie Passed away peacefully at Autumn Care of Waynesville after a period of declining health. She was 97 years old.

A native of Haywood County, Anne was the daughter of the late Edwin Farmer and Margaret Wolfe Farmer. She was preceded in death by her late husband, James L. Fie, who passed away in 2015. Anne was also preceded in death by her brother, Eddie Farmer. Anne retired from Haywood County School System and enjoyed a long and active retirement. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Waynesville. Anne especially enjoyed traveling to national parks and spending winters at their home in Florida. 

Anne is survived be her son, Randy and his wife Lillie; one granddaughter, Dr. Taylor Fie; a sister-in-law, Ellie Farmer of Knoxville; and several nieces and nephews. 

A private intimate graveside service was help on September 15, 2024, with Russell Gilliland presiding. 

Wells Funeral Homes and Cremation Services oversaw arrangements for Mrs. Fie.
