Annie Downs

Waynesville-Annie Jane Silvers Downs, age 43, of the Iron Duff Community, died Sunday, November 28, 2004 at the Tsali Health Care Center. She was a native of Haywood County and was the daughter of the late Melvin and Myrtle Price Silvers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Downs. She enjoyed reading and cooking and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She is survived by her sister, Essie Smith, of Waynesville and a stepmother, Nettie Frizzell Silvers of Clyde. Gravesides services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Jerry Nelson and Reverend Steve Taylor officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Lewis Rathbone, Jack Parton, Roger Parker, Bud Conard, Alan Rathbone, and Willie James.
