Annie Warren

October 2, 1913 — February 11, 2014

Annie Marylee Warren, age 100, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Herman Andrew Warren and Bessie Lee Eplee Warren Penland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth Miller, Sadie Wilson, and Margaret Williams. Annie was dearly loved by all who knew her and was a joy to be around always placing smiles on everyone's faces. She enjoyed her home, especially working outdoors in her flowers and was a member of Hominy Baptist Church. She is survived by one brother, Frank Warren and his wife, Nellie, of Candler and also many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Hominy Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Dr. Joe Yelton officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the ministry center. Memorials may be made to Hominy Baptist Church, 135 Candler School Road, Candler, NC 28715.
