Annie Watson

November 18, 1918 — February 10, 2003

Canton-Annie Mae Henline Watson-84, died Monday, February 10, 2003 at her daughter's residence.

She was a native of Madison County and had lived in Haywood County for 65 years. She was a daughter of the late Jasper Melvin and Bertha Keener Henline and the wife of the late George Joshua Watson who died in 1992. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Carl and Troy Henline.

She was a homemaker and was a member of Dutch Cove Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, canning and crocheting.

She is survived by Karen Rhinehart and her husband Tony, Peggy Burnette and her husband J. C. and Kathy Wilson all of Canton and Debra Grady and her husband Patrick of Virginia, one sister, Elsie Farmer of Clyde, one brother, Melvin Henline of Lake Junaluska, 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, 3 step-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 12, 2003 at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens with Reverend Wayne Willett and Reverend Ed Lowder officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Wells Funeral Homes of Canton prior to the graveside service. At other times, the family will be at the daughter's, Karen Rhinehart, 2894 Dutch Cove Road, Canton, NC 28716. Serving as pallbearers will be David Mills, Darryl Mills, Dewayne Mills, Kelly Dale Mills, Brian Rhinehart, Ray Rhinehart and Bob Plemmons.

Memorials may be made to Samaritans Purse, Franklin Graham, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
