Arhetta Mcelroy

Clyde, Arhetta Stamey McElroy, age 80, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2016 at her residence. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Mac McKinley and Belle Welch Stamey. She was also preceded in death by her husband Robert Donald McElroy; three brothers, T.A., J.B. and Mac Stamey, Jr. Arhetta retired from Haywood Regional Medical Center with 30 years of service. Arhetta is survived by one son, Robert McElroy, and his wife, Karen, of Clyde; one sister, Barbara Knowles; one brother, Maxi Lee Stamey; two grandchildren, Damien McElroy, and his wife, Brandi and Chris McElroy, and his finance, Moxie Brown; three great-grandchildren, Gabby, Paul and Owen; a dear friend, Lottie Hall; and several nieces and nephews. A private graveside service was held.
