Arletha Watts

Arletha Sutton Watts, age 89, died Sunday, February 13, 2005 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. She was a native of Haywood County and the daughter of the late Cornelius and Burdine Messer Sutton. She was preceded in death by her husband Aulton B. Watts who died in 1984; four sisters, Elsie Hyatt, Oillie Poe, Effie Hall and Bonnie Frady and a brother, Larry Sutton. She was a retired cafeteria manager with Haywood County Schools and a member of Beulah Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Thomasine Miller and her husband, Clyde and Donna Sorrells and her husband, Mike all of Canton; a sister, Geneva Hall of Canton; a brother Everett Sutton of Canton; six grandchildren, Dustin Sorrells, Cody Sorrells, Danny Miller, Wanda Teague, Diane Cordell and Melissa Hyatt; six great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at Beulah Baptist Church with the Reverend Matt Pruett officiating. Burial will follow at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery, Old Clyde Road. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday at Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services of Canton. At other times, the family will be at 7015 Old Clyde Road, Canton. Pallbearers will be Danny and Kyle Miller, Daniel Hyatt, Jake Mills, Bruce Hannah and Dennis Reid. Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, 486 E.
