Arthur Demars

"Loving Husband & Father" Maggie Valley, Arthur W. DeMars. Age 85, of Friar Tuck Lane, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015 at his residence. A native of Lynn, Massachusetts and a resident of Haywood County for the past 24 years, he was a son of the late Wilfred and Ruth Moore DeMars. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. Arthur was a meat cutter for over 40 years and was a member of Philadelphia Church of God. He enjoyed skiing, swimming, and walking around Lake Junaluska. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Nina Harrie Demars; one son, Donald DeMars and his wife, Teresa, of Pennsylvania; one sister, Sharon; two brothers, Richard and Paul DeMars; ten grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
