Artie Kirby

Canton- Artie Mae Hall Kirby died Tuesday, November 29, 2005 at her residence. She was a native and life-long resident of Haywood County and a daughter of the late Marlin and Annie Mae Franklin Hall. She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Joe Bob Kirby, Sr. who died in 1989 and was a member of Morning Star United Methodist Church. Mrs. Kirby enjoyed working with the scouting programs and making quilts. She is survived two sons, Joe Kirby and his wife Eva of Brevard and Jim Kirby and his wife Judy of Pisgah Forest; three sisters, Cathleen Shepherd of Canton, Girtrue Talley of Etowah and Elaine Winfrey of Dibold, TX; three brothers, Tom and C.M. Hall both of Canton and James Hall of Candler; three grandchildren, Michael Kirby and his wife April, Michele Kirby Wilson and her husband Scott and Matthew Kirby; three great-grandchildren, Tyler, Rebecca and Zachery Wilson. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 2, 2005, at Morning Star United Methodist Church with Reverend Doug Love officiating. Burial will follow in Morning Star Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Haywood County Rescue Squad, P.O.
