She is survived by her son, Larry (Pat) Brown; daughters, Becky (Bob) Middleton, Karen (Jim) Moore and Kathy (Trace) Cochran; daughter-in-law, Linda Walden; brother, Curtis (Mary) Brown; grandchildren, Scott (Kelly) Brown, John (Kristy) Middleton, Stanley Brown, Kristen (Jay) Williams, Allan (Melissa) Middleton, Cassie Middleton and Jason Roach, Clint (Elizabeth) Moore, Luke and Chuck Cameron, Tanner Moore, Jordan and Carson Cochran; great-grandchildren, Kaitlen Brown, Hannah, Garrett and Hyatt Middleton, Cole and Karter Williams and Kalea Middleton; many nieces and nephews, including Sharon Coffey, who was like a daughter to her.
Artie worked at Martel Mills and Burlington Industries for over 40 years. She was a member at Beaverdam Baptist Church. She was very passionate about her family and her community. She loved life from simple walks outdoors to Sunday dinners that she prepared from the heart for the entire family, up until her death. There was nothing more satisfying to her than to be surrounded by her family.
Although Artie was 93 years old, her death was sudden. Her life was not faint and her memory will always be with us. Artie has left us a legacy that will continue through her children. She was a very loving and generous woman. Artie would smile if she were here with us today. She would have some funny story to tell to make everyone comfortable and we would for a moment forget our sadness. Artie Elizabeth Walden will be dearly missed. Those of us that were blessed to know her will be forever grateful to God.
