"Loving Mom and Grandmother" Canton – Aza Lea Farley Goolsby, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at her residence. A native of Graham County, she was a daughter of the late William and Martha Green Farley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon Goolsby, who died in 2011; and two brothers, Ben and Vernon Farley. Aza Lea was a member of First United Methodist Church of Canton and loved cooking, playing bridge, and collecting Christmas items. She is survived by a daughter, Anita Goolsby of Asheville; two sons, Bill Goolsby and his wife, Pam, of Mills River, and Andy Goolsby and his wife, Melanie, of Canton; two sisters, Geraldine Mann of Orange Park, Florida, and Marlyn McFalls of Waynesville; one brother, Vincent Farley of Concord; five grandchildren, Drew Evans, Anna Hormig, Ansley and Brady Goolsby, and Shannon Tate; and two great-grandchildren, Gracie and Mason Tate. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Garrett-Hillcrest Mausoleum with the Reverend Donnie Henson officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday evening at Wells Funeral Home in Canton.
