Candler – Barbara Jean Towe Hannah, 78, of Candler passed away on Friday, September 16, 2022, at Carepartners Hospice Solace of Asheville.
A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late James and Virginia Hill Towe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Moore as well as a son, Randy Hannah.
Barbara was a member of Mountain View Church of God where she played the organ for many years.
She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Harold Hannah, of Candler; a son Terry Hannah (Kelly), of Candler; brothers Ernie (Sheila) and Jerry Towe; grandchildren, Macey Hannah, Connor Hannah, and Garrett Hannah; along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at Mountain View Church of God with Reverend Mike Hicks officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:15 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain View Church of God at P.O. Box 553 Canton, NC 28716.
The care of Mrs. Hannah has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
