Barbara Reynolds

"Loving wife, mother & grandmother" Clyde – Barbara Ann Riddle Reynolds, age 74, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at The Homestead. A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Cecil Ed and Hazel Elizabeth Pitts Riddle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Riddle. Barbara loved her family dearly and cherished each one. She will be remembered for her devotion to her Christian faith and love for her Savior, Jesus Christ. Barbara was a dedicated member of the Church of God of Prophecy. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, C.J. Reynolds; one daughter, Sheila Farley and her husband, Keith, of Clyde; one son, Charles Reynolds of Candler; a sister, Treva Cox of Baltimore, Maryland; two granddaughters, Danielle and Charissa Ponder; two great-grandsons, Malyk and Kendrick Gibbs; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 8, 2013 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Dr. Terrence Threadwell and Reverend Ted Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Church of God of Prophecy, 860 Terrace Drive, Canton, NC 28716 or to MedWest-Haywood Hospice, 560 Leroy George Drive, Clyde, NC 28721.
