Barbara Singleton

Waynesville, Barbara R. Singleton, age 70, of Clearview Drive, died on Monday, April 28, 2008 at her residence with her family by her side. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Algie and Thelma Brown Ratcliff. She was employed by Champion International for 47 years. She is survived by one daughter, Laura L. Brown and her husband, Johnny, of Rolesville, NC; one sister, Ann Kizma and her husband, Greg, of Waynesville; one brother, Mack Ratcliff and his wife, Sissy, of Waynesville; several nieces and nephews; close friend, Dave Hudson; and special caregiver, Gail Singleton. Private graveside services were held at Crawford/Ray Mausoleum with Reverend Chris Hudson of Las Vegas, NV officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Haywood Regional Medical Center Hospice, 560 Leroy George Drive, Clyde, NC 28721 or Ratcliff Cove Cemetery Fund, 75 Keller Street, Waynesville, NC 28786.
