Barindena Dolassek

Clyde, Barindena Jones Dolassek, age 87, passed away at the Brian Center of Waynesville on Friday, June 13, 2014. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Erastus and Tennie Rhinehart Jones and was also preceded in death by her first husband, David Nelson Smart, who died in 1979 and her second husband, Gerhardt Dolassek, who died in 1989. She was a member of Clyde Central United Methodist Church and a member of the United Methodist Women. Barindena is survived by two daughters, Shirley Kent of Plymouth, North Carolina and Debbie Maidhof and her husband, Bob, of Melbourne, Florida; two sons, Robert Smart and his wife, Kittie, and Jimmy Smart and his wife, Joyce, all of Clyde; a sister, Jean Sluder of Enka; one brother, Reeves Jones, of Ocalla, Florida; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m. on Monday, June 16, 2014 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Dan Gaddy and Reverend James Hart officiating. Burial will follow at Fincher's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home.
