Beatrice Cline

Beatrice Medford Cline, age 76 , of Forest Hill Drive. died Saturday, June 11, 2005 at her residence. She was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and the daughter of the late Dr. Nick M. and Beatrice Owenby Medford. Mrs. Cline was a 1945 graduate of Waynesville High School and graduated in 1949 from Brenau College in Gainesville, Ga. She was a teacher at Bethel Schools, Morning Star Elementary and served in the Durham County Schools. She was a loving wife and mother and was a member of Canton Central United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Dr. Albert P. Cline, Jr.; one son, Nick Cline and his wife Christine of Saluda, N.C.; a brother, Dr. Phil M. Medford and his wife Mildred "Mib" Medford of Waynesville; one granddaughter, Kacy Cline of Arapahoe, N.C. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at Canton Central United Methodist Church with the Reverends Carrol Lindsey and Jack Caudill officiating. Burial will follow at the Bon - A- Venture Cemetery on Old Clyde Rd. Serving as Pall Bearers are C.S. Owen, Sam Burrus, Dr. Bob Harpe, T.G. Boyd, Jr., Matt Coman, Eddie Morgan, Honorary Pall Bearers are, Don Randolph, Brainard Burrus, Bob Breese, Joe Morgan, Dr. Brad Morgan. The family will receive friends Monday, June 13, 2005 from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. at the Canton location of Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services.
