Waynesville, Beatrice Inez Duncan Williams, age 88, died on Tuesday, July 21, 2009. A native of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Robert C. and Lillie Sparks Duncan. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter "Buster" Williams; six brothers, Claude, Clyde, Walter "Jim", Carl, Grady, and Theodore Duncan; two sisters, Patra Hoyle and Lena Belle Swanger; one stepson, Robert Williams; and one grandson. She was retired from Drexel Furniture and a member of Mission Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Dallas Bryson and his wife, Doris of Waynesville and Douglas Bryson and wife, Opal, of Cullowhee; two stepsons, Gene Williams of Millville, NJ and Bud Williams, Jr. of Waynesville; one stepdaughter, Linda Smith of Millville, NJ; 22 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 24, at Mission Baptist Church, with Pastor Ricky Gibson officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Wayne and Perry Bryson, Keith and Ryan Gentry, Mark Caldwell, and Lawrence Rathbone. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville and at other times, at the home of Dallas Bryson, 70 Hendrix Street, Waynesville.
