"Loving Wife and Mother"

Candler, Belinda Fountain Hamlin, age 51, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

A native of Georgia and a resident of Buncombe County since 1991 she was the daughter of the late John Fountain. Belinda was a Paramedic with Haywood County Emergency Medical Services for 12 years. She enjoyed the beach, reading and traveling.

Belinda is survived by her husband of 9 years, Rich Fredrick; daughter, Brittany Ratliff; son, Chase Hamlin and stepson, Deacon Fredrick.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Tim Lolley officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Krystal Shuler 450 Monteith Branch, Sylva, NC 28779 for a scholarship fund being set up for EMS students. Please indicate in memo line Belinda Hamlin Scholarship Fund.
