Bernadine Jones

Bernadine Louise Jones, age 75, of 334 James Street, died on Friday, June 10, 2011, at MedWest-Haywood. A native of Leoti, Kansas, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Bassilla Herrman Kessler. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Herbert R. Cohagan; her second husband, Donald Willard Jones; five children; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She is survived by six sons Herbert Cohagan and his wife, Vivian of CO, Joseph Jones of LA, Don Jones, Jr. of MO, Kelly Jones and his wife, Easter, of Clyde; Ronald Jones and his wife, Della, of Hot Springs, and Willard Jones of Waynesville; seven daughters, Elaine Spease of AK, Karen Hull and her husband, Herb, of MO, Carolyn Arwine of Waynesville, Lucy Schmidt and her husband, Dave, of KS, Priscilla Jones of KS, Regina Gladden and her husband, Gary, of Waynesville, and Donna Smith and her husband, Mel, of Waynesville; 30 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 13, 2011, at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Paul T. Starnes officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Clyde. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
