Bertie Robinson

Asheville, Bertie Keener Robinson, age 98, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at John F. Keever Solace Center in Asheville. Bertie was a native of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Marion and Leona Allison Keener. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Riley Robinson, who died in 1990; 11 brothers and sisters; one grandson, Barry Dry. Bertie was a homemaker and a member of Clyde Central United Methodist Church for many years. She is survived by a son, Riley V. Robinson, Jr., and his wife, Phyllis, of Salisbury, NC; a daughter, Jimmie V. Dry and her husband, Bobby, of Mableton, Georgia; brother, Glenn Keener of Fairview, NC; special nephew, Donald Keener of Asheville, NC; five grandchildren, Joan King, Bobby Dry, Gregory and Joel Robinson and Laurie Ritchie; 11 great -grandchildren and eight great -great -grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens with Reverend James Hart officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
