Bessie Clontz

Canton-Bessie Gibson Clontz , 88 died Friday, February 21, 2003 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

She was a native and life-long resident of Haywood County.
She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Ida Jones Gibson and the wife of the late Luther William Clontz who died in 1983. She was a homemaker and a member of Dutch Cove Baptist Church.

She is survived by four daughters; Polly Seitler of Canton, Peggy Sue Ward of Hendersonville; Betty Williams of Canton and Ann Gauthier of Missouri; three sons; James, Michael and Charles Gibson all of Canton; 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, February 23, 2003 at Beulah Baptist Church with the Reverend Virgil Holloway officiating.
Burial will follow at Morning Star Cemetery. Friends and relatives may visit at the home of the son, Michael Gibson, at 104 Raby St. where the body will remain until one hour prior to the service.

Wells Funeral Homes of Canton is in charge or arrangements.
