Bette Bardol

Elizabeth "Bette" Ann Queen Bardol passed away peacefully on Monday, January 30, 2006 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home where she had been a resident for the last three years. She was born in Owensboro, KY on February 13, 1922 and was the daughter of the late Frank Clarence and Camilla Triplett Queen. Bette was a former Ballet instructor and a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Canton where she enjoyed participating in their Bible studies and Episcopal Women's Fellowship. She is survived by two children, Camilla Ward and her husband, Brewster of Asheville and Charles Bardol of Canton; a sister, Frances McElroy of Tucson, AZ; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A private graveside memorial service is planned for Valentine's Day. Memorials may be made to St. Andrew's Episcopal Church Building Fund or Memorial Garden, 99 Academy Street, Canton, NC 28716. Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services of Canton is in charge of arrangements.
