Betty Blythe

Canton - Betty Lindsay Blythe, age 80, of 96 North Main Street passed away Friday, January 27, 2006 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. She was a native of Gaston County, NC and had resided in Haywood County most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Hugh W. and Betty Poteat Lindsay and was also preceded in death by a twin sister, Frances L. McAninch. She was a homemaker and a former agent for Durham Life Insurance and a former employee of Dayco Corporation and Champion International. Mrs. Blythe was an accomplished seamstress. In addition to her husband of 64 years, Jack Martin Blythe, she is survived by two daughters, Sherri B. Johnson and her husband, David L. of Etowah, NC and Jo B. Minor and her husband, Glenn D. of Knoxville, TN; a brother, Hugh W. Lindsay, Jr. of Bradenton, FL; five grandchildren, Dr. Jack B. Cole, Brooke C. McCall, Joshua B. Cole, Erin B. Mack and Jacqui J. Lanier as well as nine great-grandchildren. Services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
