Betty Davis

Waynesville-Betty Jean Carver Davis, age 72, of 27 Clubview Drive, died Monday, December 27, 2004 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of Edna Parton Carver of Waynesville and the late Charlie Carver. She was a member of Allens Creek Baptist Church where she was a member of the Golden Harvesters. She enjoyed writing poems and cooking. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 51 years, Dan Caldwell Davis; a son, Terry Davis and his wife, Lee, of Atlanta, GA; a sister, Clarene Smith, of Waynesville; and a grandson, Eric Davis. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2004 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Homes and Cremation Services with Reverend Eddie Deitz and Reverend Lloyd Fish officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Ray Clark, Donnie Bryson, Hallie Grant, Charles Ray Allen, Frank Lowe, and Albert Nichols.
