Betty Kuykendall Elliott, born on November 19, 1964, in Haywood County, has peacefully passed away on July 18, 2024 at Pardee Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was a wife, caring sister, and beloved daughter.
Betty will always be remembered for her kind and welcoming personality. She had a special gift for making everyone around her feel at ease, and her warm presence brought comfort to those who knew her. Betty cherished spending time with her family above all else and created countless treasured memories with them.
In addition to her loving husband John Elliott of Canton, Betty is survived by her sisters Joyce Searcy and Mary Kuykendall of Hendersonville. She also leaves behind her nephew Jeffrey Searcy and great-niece Chloie Searcy; and special friends Alan and Michelle Blake, who held a special place in her heart.
Betty's hobbies included cross-stitching, reading, listening to country music, and playing with her beloved cats. These simple pleasures brought her immense joy throughout her life. She is now reunited in peace with her father Albert Kuykendall, mother Ruby Smith Kuykendall, and brother Billy Kuykendall. Their spirits will live on in the hearts of those who loved them.
Betty Jean Elliott will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and warmth will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched. May she rest in eternal peace.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Pastor Caleb Simmons officiating. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
