Betty Norman

Waynesville, Betty Jo Norman, age 89, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2011 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. A native of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Hyatt and Bertie Childress Moody. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan Norman, who died in 1992; one son, Dean Norman; and two sisters, Patsy Pressley and Jeane Stewart. She was a former employee of the Dayco Corporation and a member of Hazelwood Baptist Church. Betty Jo is survived by five sisters, Bessie Lee Pressley, of Brevard, Jackie Rathbone of Lake Panasoffkee, Florida, Peggy Hooper of Glenville, North Carolina, and Karene Passmore of Hendersonville; as well as several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
