BETTY J. PRUITT "Loving Mother and Grandmother" Waynesville, Betty J. Pruitt, age 88, of South Haywood Street passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Autumn Care. A native of Indianapolis, Indiana, and previous resident of St. Petersburg, Florida, she had resided in Haywood County for the past five years. She was the daughter of the late Marion and Catherine Mareane. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Pruitt, who died in 2005, and three brothers. Betty was employed as a secretary for ten years at Washington Township Schools in Indianapolis and enjoyed crafts and spending time with her grandson and great grandchildren. She attended First United Methodist Church of Waynesville. She is survived by two sons, Mike and Steve Pruitt, both of Sylva; one grandson, Brian Pruitt and his wife, Kellie; and four great grandchildren. No services are planned.
